This is from a 2023 Toyota Tacoma SR5. I'm trying to figure out what this missing plastic fastener above the tailgate hinge is and if there is a part number or aftermarket equivalent for it. Any guesses or other info appreciated.

Those come up missing quite often it’s just a push rivet IIRC.

its just a tiny plastic push pin like the others securing that plastic shroud in place.

I don't know for sure, but I bet it's a dart or plastic pin.

You can buy an entire assortment from Harbor Freight for $12.

You might pay $2 each from the dealer.

Look at the opposite side of the truck to get a better idea of what you need.

    This and that
Also disagree. Op should’ve checked over every fastener and fluid for torque and taste. Someone needs to chime in about the proper tw pre-owned truck purchasing process.

be sure to apply fluid film to the surrounding area to prevent plastic compatibility corrosion issues!
