Why? Everyone I know loves them. Generally want to know your reasoning or you just don't like EVs for no reason.

Long distance traveling it would be my diesel truck anyway.

    Not a bad suggestion.

 Jeesh!! You guys can spy on everything! I was just trying fix/edit all of the.mis-spills and tiepoes ( I'm old: and get confused: "Uncle Leo Syndrome") I heard or read somewhere that avoiding adding Annoying entries and aggravating the MODs can help prevent THIS:

We see everything once you select post reply. Only thing we cannot get into in private messages. That would be messed up and a huge violation of personal privacy.

    Same question.

I wanted to see where the EVs were going to land, but Hertz reversal on their fleet did seem to kill a lot of prospects.

I have a desire for a Taco EV. The Slate is intriguing and hitting the right price range. Hoping for something like that with a 4WD option and an extended cab.

It kills me that I could not get my kids interested in doing maintenance. They're handy but no motivation for it. I can't wait until they start having to pay for it all.

Nice. Point taken: "Thank You". Sometimes advice passed down years ago can still apply and save you years later because still applies: My stern Uncle told me one time when I was in my early teens and acting up or complaining over something or someone:

    "Listen Kiddo:
"You never know who you are talking to: So be NICE!!" ...That early advice has saved my bacon many times and paid-off over the years:

"Excuse me sir: Do you know who that was you were just talking to?"

EVs are fine: It's the plaid that's awful. ;)

The $30k Plaid option, the badge, or just the idea of it?

So here's another consideration. For anyone who does offroad, especially solo vehicle, and with family, you have a philosophical responsibility to understand and prepare and potentially repair your vehicle in BFE with no resources other that the things you bring and the fluffy pink thing between your ears.

Something as simple as a flat tire requires understanding how to safely jack a vehicle in sand, rock, and potentially undeveloped conditions.

So when you join a community like this, with many people who modify an operate their vehicles beyond the mall, members who encourage others to DIY are fairly common and enthusiastic.

If you do not have the tools, knowledge, and space to do so, consider checking your regional forums to find a member who does have these resources and buddy up for a mod day or just a maintenance day.

Also, when the dealer checked and tightened all the bolts on my truck under the severe service schedule i got an itemized bill for $43,739.

Same. I was out looking at the 2025 Cummins 3500. Had to park next to that car.
