Truck survived first trip to Ardbeg this year.

Feeling a lot more confident in the alignment knowing theres no more play in the cams.

Only update to the truck is that i rewired the plugs for the fridge with bigger wire since i forgot to account for line drop when I originally wired it.

Scooped a welder couple weeks ago. Should get this build moving along again when i get some free time :angrygirl:

Going to have some time to work on the truck to get ready for some trips planned. Nothing exciting going on other than some maintenance and small “I’ll do it when i have some free time” type stuff.
Probably going to focus more on refining my whole setup for the next bit.

Wednesday during lunch at work I fixed an annoying rattle from the 4wd shifter boot.
The collar was bigger than the 1/2 diameter stud, so I used 2 o-rings to make up for the diameter difference and everything is snug now.

When i got home I pulled all my junk out of the cab for a quick inventory, organize and a good interior vacuum. Then fixed a broken bed side brace that had been annoying me for a couple years now.
    upload_2025-8-8_11-9-23.jpg

A 15 minute job turned into 2 days because all 3 bolts broke with almost no effort trying to get the brace out. Was pretty annoyed since this fix isn’t even important at all just the bed side wiggling annoyed me.
Got the bottom bolt removed and just drilled a new hole between the 2 up top since there was no room to extract the broken ones.

Welded back together. The brace was pretty rusty around where it broke, I was surprised the welder only blew through once.

Yeah I had like 6 months at the begining of the year I just felt so burnt out. One day i just said fuck it and started working on stuff around the house and just haven't stopped since lol

Feels so good to just knock out projects.

Wow, don’t sleep on your spark plugs.
Procrastinated doing them for like 2 years lol
These had potentially 175000km on them since they were still NGK and denso on each side.

Crazy to see the wear on the electrodes.
They opened up to .065” gap.
(Brand new denso @ .040” for reference)

Got out provincial park camping couple weeks ago.
Got a Nord smooth tailgate insert. It’s the only mod my GF requested and was actually surprised how much nicer the tailgate is to use as a workspace.

After running new wire for the fridge plugs I instantly got much better results. With the old wire running the fridge for 2 days was pushing it, but now i believe i could maybe go 4 days without starting the truck.
That alone puts a dual battery setup almost on the bottom of the to do list since the single marine battery is ample power for our current setup.
