I picked up these retractable ratchet straps that mount directly to your bed rail system - they'll work for anything 2nd, 3rd or 4th gen Tacoma. They're from Juggernaut Designs partnered with Rhino USA (for the mechanism) - great quality item and made in USA. Video link in the next comment.

Op- it’s a cool design, but dont you think it’s overkill for a bed rail system rated for 220lbs?IMG_0514.jpg

This is why I like the rather sad stock fittings. Even when I use a ratchet strap with them, I do not reef down on the strap. The last thing I want to do is crack out the blind nuts and bed.

No money, all went to truck...
They are cool, super useful especially if you haul stuff all the time. But for me, they are cost prohibitive.

Dang, you busted out the owners manual on me?? This is a Tacoma with the 5' bed - I'm never hauling anything substantial in this truck - just hauling items home from the home improvement store or small items. If I need to haul something, I use my F150 or my families F350 Dually. I like that this is a ratchet strap, ready to use. I don't have to hunt for one, find it, attach it, the hook falls off the other side, etc.

Pricing is tough - but for two ($199) that's cheaper than a knock off TRD grill, knock off Baja Designs Fog lights or a cheap Amazon tonneau. Either way, I'd pick the quality ratchets at that price.
