Well manly men it was a day...

It took me seven :censored: hours to go 200 miles. :annoyed:

On the positive the deal is done and it is on the trailer and I am in a very luxurious hotel room. :)

Good morning of Fridayness, friends! Hope you all have a great day :hattip:

I woke up yesterday and stumbled to the bathroom without crutches, didn't use them all day. This morning my knee is hardly swollen at all and I can walk somewhat normal so I'm cancelling the doctor appointment that is 2 hours from home and will pick which one of the next 2 I want to go to for next week or the week after.
@RustyGreen safe travels, hopefully you get home quicker than you got there yesterday :burnrubber:I can't wait to see what we purchased this trip :spending:

@PzTank enjoy your day off and a 4 day weekend :broccoli:

I saw this Honda CR-V yesterday with what appears to be a small lift o_O

I stopped by O'Reilly auto parts yesterday to get a headlight for my truck, they were $39.99 for a 2 pack

    upload_2025-8-29_7-21-14.png

I pulled out my phone and got on Amazon :spending:

    Same pack, half price.

Yea those halogen bulbs are getting ridiculous. When I bought my little car one of the previous owner installed some God awful LED's so I bought a two pack of H7's I want to say. Was $40 as well.

Although changing out the passenger side was a total PITA. Had to loosen everything on the air box to even think about squeezing my hand in there o_O

I promptly threw these darn things away!

Stopped by a couple pawn shops on the way home yesterday and sniffed around. First one had a Porter Cable hammer drill that looked great $49.99 but they do better with cash. The 2nd one had the same one for $20.00 and they will do better with cash as well.

    They looked like this one.

    upload_2025-8-29_7-25-12.png

One of them has a DeWalt portable band saw for $145 I'd like to have to make an upright bandsaw with.

I'm sure they'd take less for it.

    upload_2025-8-29_7-27-16.png

This is what I'd like to make.

There's a green one around here that the owner slapped on a turbo kit. It definitely has that Fast and Furious sound. Of course the owner drives like a dingleberry and I've seen him on several occasions almost jump a decent sized hill on my commute home from work o_O

That is nice and the price is right, but can you cut metal with it or just wood? I read the description, seems like wood is the go to with it.

Wood vs metal is usually the blade not the saw.

I know it's a different blade, the RPM is usually slower on metal saws though.

Hmmm, you might be tight. They do sell plenty of 59 1/2" metal blades to use with it, but I guess I didn't really look too far into it.

I know @Kwikvette did a little tabletop bandsaw thing and pretty sure he used the Bauer port-a-band.
