While Im thinking of it bro, can I pick the Guru’s brain a bit more? I can post it in the 2nd gen section but my OG 2006 TRD 4x4 Quad cab long bed 4.0 I have two issues now 1. I rounded off the rear differential fill plug that’s seemingly welded to the damn pumpkin I was thinking of drilling a hole next to it to add fluid since it’s been out of the casting (I found a nice solid rubber plug that’s seemingly welded would seal it up nicely)? Also topping off the damn sealed tranny since its weeping a bit as well. From what I’ve read it needs to be at a certain temperature?!? I assumed that strange overflow plug was cracked open and pumping the fluid into the fll plug above? I found it quite ugly under there when I blew a rear brake line a few weeks ago had to plug a port on the abs block to make it home it was gnarlyAF

Take a chisel and work the fill plug off. It will come off.
I always tell people to use a 6-point 24mm when breaking them loose.
A 12-point will round them off.

As for the trans fluid. It's 95-115 degrees F'.
You could use a cheap laser temp gun and check the level once the pan gets to 95'.
More than one persons done it that way. Not exactly "right", but beats guessing.

Also, the engine needs to be RUNNING when checking.

    Yeah.
Haha, yeah, again, agree with the sentiment, but anything pollytikal around these parts tends to give someone an immediate vacation. Didn't want you to get booted for 3 or 30 days while you were needing some help.

You got a good deal, and glad you got it started! TnShooter is the man. I've got an old '77 Celica that sits for long periods, but I can always get it running when I need to. Air, fuel, spark, proper timing, and it will run.
