Just got the truck back from Vive Houston for full car paint correction and SunTek PPF.

very expensive but with black paint, I swore I would do it. The paint looks amazing.

What did that run you ballpark. Any maintenance with the suntek? Is it like ceramic coating?

no real maintenance….its a high end PPF that has ceramic in the top layer. Allegedly that should last for 2-3 years and then come back for ceramic on the PPF. The suntek has 10 year warranty against yellowing, cracking, and peeling.

With a full ceramic tint was $7k for whole car bumper to bumper.

I would take that shit off as fast as they put it on. After about 4 years in the Texas sun, it will be baked on and you can't get it off. I just spent $1500 having a hood refinished because of that crap.

Maybe you used a low end PPF...This Suntek Reaction is about as good of stuff as you can get. Its guaranteed for 10 - years against that. I get the Texas heat but my car doesnt sit in the sun all day. Garaged at home and at work.

This place does mostly high end exotics, in Texas. If the products they were using was failing, this place wouldnt have the reputation it does.

Don't believe the smoke. I don't care if it has a 100 year warranty, It's all plastic and it will do the same. You were warned.

Which PPF did you have on there? If that happens, I'm not gonna pay for it, the shop or manufacturer will.

It really doesn't matter the brand, but I had Xpel. These companies do not make their own products. Good luck with getting anyone to pay. I was told it was 'environmental' and was out of luck. I guess the sun is part of the environment.

That black finish draws the sun. You are baking that plastic. As I said, good luck.

Its a pain in the but to remove after a few years as I have removed a few kits for customers. BodyShops hate this crap when you have to fix a panel. Then what, now you have to re-apply to match the rest f the car. Not a fan of it but not my truck!
