My 2023 Tacoma with 20,000 miles has developed a whine/hum in the rear end, mostly driver side. On 13 August 2025, took it to the Texas dealer where I bought it for periodic servicing and trouble shooting of the noise. Suspected that the problem might be the one identified in 2019-2023 Service Bulletin T-SB-0045-23. It is instead, the rear driver side wheel bearing. I am now owner #913 on the nation-wide waiting list for a replacement bearing. there is no estimated availability date. This must be a common problem given the backlog of orders. Anyone else experiencing the same warranty parts "not available" issue. My independent garage says "after market" bearing replacements are available (at a price.) I may pay out-of -pocket if I get tired of "bearing" the pain of driving my 2002 Tundra with 280,000 miles on original bearings.

    None so far
I thought the oscillating hum was one of the rear tires, now I will have to investigate further and see where it is coming from. Mine is a 21 with 35000 miles. Thanks for the heads up. Will check on availability this week.
