I'm not certain either way. I asked my Mom but she wasn't sure, either.

They say you're not supposed to cook cook food direct over gas-powered fires. Something about cancer and brain cells

What if the brain cells have already been taken care of with alcohol?

Blood pressure is high, also. Gotta cut back on the old fashioneds, too. :(

I doubt I could spread it to you from Jefferson County, LOL.

If it's any influence on your decision, I am not really enjoying this very much at all.

I've cooked directly over gas-powered fires and my brains am fine.

Long as the gas heats a pan or sumthin

Now I don't know what your Jefferson County is like, but the Jefferson County near me... Could definitely spread diseases. Several zip codes over

Mumps, chicken pox, measles, I've had 'em all. I still drink from a garden hose, too. I don't take any meds at all. Not even Aleve or Tylenol. My immune system is surprisingly top notch. I hear that shingles can hang on for quite some time and can be very painful. Best of luck to you, James.

I’ve heard some people have had just as bad an experience just from the shots. Not fun.

If I got a shot and it made me feel like I do right now, I might go back and beat up the doctor

The first shot was fine. The second shot I slighty remember having slight reaction.
That was almost 10 years ago.

I had heard that too. I've hemmed and hawed over it because I rarely get sick...playin' the averages. Last time I was sick was Covid almost 5 years ago and before that was the flu maybe close to 20 years ago.

    You don't remember yesterday.

You were on the 6:00 news.

Something about a man just wearing underwear running up and down the street. He was yelling :lalala:

Good to be back home on my own couch after lots of travel last week. Ran out to the Boston area to drop off my kid for her 1st semester at Wellesley College. We put around 2400 miles on the Tiguan, and while it is a comfy ride and pretty good on gas, I think I'm gonna try to get my wife into a Corolla Cross hybrid or a Rav4 hybrid soon.

The Tiguan burned more than a quart of oil (fresh oil change a week before the trip) and we had a low coolant warning come on halfway home, so I had to top that off. I don't like those issues in a car that's got less than 50,000 miles on it. I did some reading and apparently the 2020 that she has is prone to some oddities that other years never really suffered. It's due for tires before snow flies, and probably brakes soon too, so if I can talk her into something new we can avoid those expenses.

Other than those concerns, it was a good trip. Dropping my kid off wasn't easy, but she chose a beautiful, friendly and safe place to be. Excited to watch her grow there.

    Happy Labor Day!

Haven’t been on TW in while. Miss a little, miss a lot. Caught up on the page.

    Hope you’re doing better @Thatbassguy
Having shingles suck. Our son had it.

Trying to see if I can go on the Bayfield trip now that our “Home improvement” has been finished. Still need to do some block work on the front but…
You might not recognize the house if you stop over for a few driveway beers!

    IMG_9207.jpg
I know we have a wedding in October but I don’t have the date on my calendar.

The last month has been busy with work, home improvements, Linkin Park concert with the grandson
    IMG_9206.jpg
    and bowling!!!

The wife is now fixated on getting a Grand Highlander.
    IMG_9139.jpg
    Her 2021 4Runner has 27k miles.
    IMG_4756.jpg
My 2021 Tacoma just cracked 85k. Im keeping the 4Runner and maybe picking up a new Corolla for the 110 mile daily commute. I plan on selling the Tacoma. :crapstorm:

So if I make it to Bayfield I’ll probably be in the 4Runner.:notsure:. unless she holds out for the 2026 models.
Hope to see everyone at Bayfield or maybe a Beer Garden/ Brewery soon.
