Im just wondering what years the 17" 4 runner wheels will fit on my 2023 tacoma with 16" factory wheels. Sorry if questions is redundant but could not find a thread.

Different 4runner wheels have different offsets.

I just put a set of 5th gen SR5 4runner wheels on my truck. They are a 17x7 with +15mm offset, 4.5" backspacing, which replaced the 16x7 +25mm offset offroad wheels that came with my truck. So they sit "outboard" a little less than a 1/2" compared to stock.

The tires are a 255/80-17, and without any messing around with an alignment I have just a tiny little bit of rub with suspension compression and full turn. Outside edge of the tire is just rubbing a hair on the middle of the factory mud flap.

Same wheels, but with 265/70-17 tires. No issues with fitment/mounting. No rubbing issues, but haven’t done any serious off-roading yet.

All 4Runner upto about 2020 wheels that are 16" and larger will fit.

Just a note that if you decide to do the 4Runner front brake upgrade on your Tacoma, the factory Tacoma 17" rims will not fit. The rims make contact with the calipers. I found out the hard way when trying to use my factory rims as winters, I ended up picking up 4 17" steel FJ spares.
