Yeah idk what to do, I'm gonna try another new bulb, also the lens was fine, it was the backing/switch bracket part that wasn't secured to the metal bracket behind the headliner properly

Switched to Sylvania ZEVO Ultra Bright LEDs, works now, idk what the deal was

So I'm probably the only idiot that has had this problem, but in case it helps someone I figured I'd post about it.

2017 Tacoma, my dome light stopped working a few days ago which I assumed was likely a bad bulb. Got a bulb today and as I was removing the old I saw it wasn't bad. This led me to checking the fuse (don't get me started on that fuse box lid) but that was good too.

I'm sitting in the driver's seat thinking about the issue and decided to check and see if the map lights were working. They weren't. There is a switch by the map lights with 3 positions, so I moved it into the middle position and bingo, map and dome lights came on. Must have bumped it and didn't realize, I never use that switch....I'm not sure I've really ever noticed it.
