    I know 108 was briefly shut down a few days back as storms rolled in. Flooding and debris on roadway. Amazing how quickly it can happen. Zoom in for the lighting strike. Sonora Pass

    My last visit to Hot Creek I had the opportunity to show my toddler why it was called hot creek when a tourist decided to touch a boil.

    I went a few times in the 1970’s and it was a pretty wild party scene in the evenings in late Spring when the road was free of snow but the Mountain was still open for skiing. The easiest hot spring to reach in a normal car plus parking lot, toilets, even changing rooms believe it or not. Though most people did not wear bathing suits especially after dark.
