Anyone looking for some Ameriglo suppressor height sights? I pulled these off my new 19X MOS. Just not my style. $30?

Any recommendations for a smaller safe that is well suited for a closet space? I do not have any long guns, and would love some advice on where to start!

whatever your get - it has to be mounted either to studs with huge lag bolts or ideally drill into the foundation and drop in concrete screws so that the safe can't be removed from the house.

I have a completely different mindset when it comes to safes. Most safes can be pried open with a large pry bar. Unless you dump a huge sum on a safe and bolt it down, the bad guy is gonna get into it if they really want to. So, my idea here is to have a safe that keeps kiddos out of it. As far as the bad guys, if they get into my house when I’m home then I hope I’m faster on the draw than they are. If I’m not home, they get what they get and I’ll let insurance deal with it. Just make sure your policy is updated to cover what you’ve got.

The Gun Safes like most of us buy are really just thin refrigerator grade sheet metal and two layers of 3/4 in gypsum wall board for fire rating. As a matter of fact they aren't called a "safe." they have to be referred to as a "Residential Gun Container" or some such nonsense because they aren't up to doing safe levels of protecting.

When you put it like that it really makes the Stack-On safes look like a good deal.
    https://stack-on.com/

I had one for YEARS before I upgraded to a Liberty.
Now when ever we down size, I'm going back to a Stack-On.

What ever a gun safe tells you it will hold, figure that it will hold half of that or less. Probably 1/3 of that.
Also figure that you are going to use half of the safe for a bunch of shit like documents and old relics of 1920's costume jewelry from Aunt Estel.
Considering all that you will need a LARGE Residential Security Container or what ever they call them now. You can get all of that in two or three Stack-On's for a fraction of the price.

There are also a handfull of companies that send a DIY assembley safe to you. Like an Ikea Gun Safe. They are as strong or stronger than a traditional safe.
