QQ: Auxbeam Requires ACC Fuse Tap Under Hood

    I put the red wire through the firewall with the harness for the switch panel and connected to the fuse under the dash. That way no holes in my fuse box cover

    You will need a different mini 5 amp fuse and add a fuse

    For those worried about added holes in their fuse box. Not much to worry about IMO, the fuse box is made up of at least three pieces that are not sealed from water intrusion from below. Picture shows a great place to drill a hole. Would recommend a grommet to keep things clean. The fuse box being in multiple parts allows Toyota to build the vehicle in chunks and then match up the chunks and connect the wires.

    I wonder if this was a suggestion from the assembly line? I really like this piece of engineering.
