That’s awesome! I was obsessed with these tents for a while.

I ended up getting a Super Pacific, so I have a built-in tent. But I am still fascinated by these tents.. maybe it would be nice for the kids :)

The 2 things that kept me from getting a RTT is storage when not in use and having to break camp if I want to drive somewhere. But having a fully made bed that you can hop into almost instantly is very appealing.
I kinda wanted a swag but I think the Oztent RV3 is a bit better for my needs.

That Oztent is so easy, I've used quick set tents before and this is next level easy. The only thing that sucks is the bag. I will see if I can get a larger aftermarket one from Australia.

Next up is finding a good queen size sleeping pad, I am thinking Lost Horizon because $500 for Exped is a little more than I want to spend

this is absolutely not an experience thing lol. The bed is made of a slick plastic. The rubber bed mat is necessary.

Oh ok didn't mean to "insult" you.
I myself have owned all sorts of pickups including 2nd and 3rd gen Tacomas.
My experience is that most things slide around in any truck bed without a mat.
Don't understand why a composite bed would be more slippery than a traditional pick up bed that is painted steel.

Thanks dude. It's the swiss army knife of vehicles.. affordable, reliable, versatile, looks good dirty, looks good clean, can go just about anywhere, not too big, and not too small. After all this time driving a taco it's hard to imagine driving anything else on a daily basis.
