I am, just in Idaho instead. Went on a scouting trip last week and ended up in a jungle too thick to walk through trying to get into the upper part of the basin. There were elk in the jungle though. Not sure I'd be able to pack something out of there without an easier way in.

Question for the camera people, since everyone I know who knows anything about cameras is in this thread lol.

Is any of this equipment quality/desirable, any thoughts on value, or heck is anyone interested in any of this? I’ll do some research on what’s on the market, but wanted some trusted opinions as well.

Mid-2000’s era Canon Rebel XTi, Canon 18-55mm lens, Canon 75-300mm lens. Also a cool little camera bag/backpack (Clik Elite). The camera body has minor wear and tear, the lenses don’t appear to have any wear at all. Thanks in advance.

That body is pretty old by most standards these days. Lenses are not bad and could be sold I bet though for something. Not a lot. Whole package is worth maybe 150-200 bucks?

Agreed with Monte. Just fyi, back in 2018, when I had the 80D, it came with that 18-55mm. Once I saw the 18-135 that Monte had and decided I needed one, I sold the 18-55 on CL for $50. That'll give you a sense for pricing, which is probably still about the same, since glass tends to hold value.

Thanks guys. I figured there isn’t much of a market for “vintage DSLRs” like there is for film cameras.

I’ll post it all up for a couple hundred and see if there’s any bites.

Awesome! looks like we have a ton in common. I'm also from the St. Louis area originally ( Alton, Il) and I have a 95 SX regular cab. I venture to Billings from time to time for grad school stuff. Also where I picked up my E-locker :) Hollar if you're in Bozeman sometime! Also give me a hollar if you ever hear about them reopening the Morrison Jeep rd. Its been at the top of my list for a while. Hopefully it becomes a thing again.

Oh man, that was fun. Sure was different than our second visit at the end of that trip. Pre GFC for you!

Bummed I missed the tail end of that trip. Seems to be a theme though.

GFC was a game changer! So much better over the canopy setup.

Oh yeah we were in a pretty wild lightning storm on our first night. So glad that it didn't snow. Has anybody here ever been up Sunlight Basin Road off the Chief Joseph Highway? I'd like to get up there before it snows this year.

We have been, a couple times. Beautiful spot.

Was snowing the first time we went up. Somehow, Ben @m3bassman intuited where we were at something like 1:00am when he met us in camp. Monte @Blackdawg had written something in the snow on the road that he hope Ben woudl see... but it was still snowing, so .

Second time we went up, it was beautiful.

I've checked out your blog on many many occasions. And I do remember looking at this trip report maybe a year ago. Great photography. Great truck, great blog. Thank you for all the information that you put out there on this forum and your site. :)

Morrison is fun. It was challenging last time I did it the year before it washed out. Hopefully it'll reopen.

I took a photo from that exact spot years ago and it's still one of my favorites.
