    Hello!

I was doing a DIY 30K maintenance on my 2023 3rd Gen. When draining the rear diff fluid, I noticed some metallic shavings collected on the drain plug. The largest shaving was about 0.3 inches.

Is this something I should be concerned about?

Any recommended next steps for troubleshooting?

    Thanks for the advice!

I have seen similar on TW for a while. The magnet did its job.

It's just leftover machining debris that wasn't properly removed before it was assembled, the magnet caught it and now it's removed so you shouldn't have any issues.

It's swarf left over from machining the differential.

    Nothing to worry about.

That piece should stay in. It's an anti coagulant tablet.

Don't think it works? Have you found your diff fluid coagulated? :D
