Triflo is the only way. If you live/wheel in a particularly sandy/muddy environment, I really like the triflo dry lube. Grey lable squeeze bottle. Only way I can them alive with the salt/sand here. Less grit and grime sticks to the dry lube.

I would probably go wssx, I find the liners blow out pretty easy, and as soon as they do you have an insane amount of slop that just exacerbates the issue.

Telkwa pass is nice, I almost smoked a moose there once. Was driving along at a decent clip and suddenly there were just legs running in front of the truck. Jammed the brakes and this monster moose buck books it into the woods. Heart in mouth moment.

You probably already know, but microwave mountain is a nice spot to drive I to the alpine and camp off the telkwa.

I grew up on Haida Gwaii. If you're in that area and have the time, I would highly recommend it. Not many places like that left in the world. If you go I can give you some good places to check out.

We shot a video of our trip there several years ago. I need to go back.

Yea WSSX seems like the move, I think I’ll keep an eye on the play but target swapping them when I’m back in Michigan at a friend’s garage to do a bunch of maintenance and upgrades in November. I’ll reach out if I need it done sooner because then you’re my best bet!

I will definitely be extra cautious about moose! So far haven’t seen any moose tracks in the mud, so maybe it’s not the season for them anymore. I think hunting season started so they may be staying farther from the road/trails too.
We missed microwave mountain but are currently camped by what may or may not be Top Lake… GAIA and google name the previous upstream lake Top Lake but this is definitely the pretty one with the waterfalls that everyone has pictures of.

Thanks for the tip on Haida Gwaii. While it was on our radar I mistakenly assumed it was further south and we would hit it on a future trip. With the wildfires blowing up again the smoke isn’t great where we’re at and where we were thinking of heading so we’re researching Haida Gwaii now! (And how doggo friendly the ferry is)
I would absolutely love any spot/tips you can provide! I’ll check out your vid tonight!

Unfortunately did enough research to see that Haida Gwaii won’t work for us due to the 8 hour ferry not being very dog friendly. BC ferries runs 2 boats on that route but currently is only running the boat that isn’t dog friendly. Our pampered pooch with fomo wouldn’t be happy being locked in the truck so long.
itll have to be a trip in the future when we don’t have dogs, or at least as needy of one.

Ah yeah that's too bad. Yeah the dogs have to stay either in a kennel below decks, or in the vehicle, and you're allowed down to check on them once in the middle of the sailing.

It's so worth going though. It might still be worth driving to Prince Rupert, the road between Terrace and PR is beautiful. I lived in Terrace for a while as well. You should check out Exstew Water fall, which is really rad. If you're into doing some off-trail hiking, you can cross the river at the bottom of the falls, hike up the hill on the other side to about 2/3 maybe 3/4 of the way, then cross on a ledge behind the waterfall, and get the rest of the way to the top on the other side. It's super cool with a nice view.

Not many people know you can do that hike, and there's no trail for it. Actually I don't know anybody that's done it outside of a small group of friends.

You’re the second “local” who has praised the drive between Terrace and PR! Exstew falls was on our agenda but had no idea about your off trail tip. No public tracks in Gaia show going beyond the main trail.

We’ll keep it in mind, but as usual our actions revolve around our 13 year old short legged dog so we’ll see if he feels up for it. Walking behind waterfalls is always fun since it’s fairly rare to get a chance to

Well, this is definitely a viable option for battery relocation. Pretty pumped with how it came out in final form! I am willing to reproduce these boxes should anybody be interested. Built to be as compact as possible. The fuse block is for ANL style fuses and bolts direct to OE points.

Thank you! And probably around that. Maybe a little more. I try not to keep track of dollars spent too much on my own stuff lol.

I did passenger side, but very similar. I like that I was able to keep the plastic as a surround.

Passenger side would have made things a bunch easier for space. But this truck has a factory sub. And I would have been crucified for deleting it lol

This has got to be a compartment behind the rear seat right.
Or does a battery actually fit into the door panel on a dc?

It's the factory storage spot behind the rear drivers side seat
