It’s a friend of a friend making it. I think there’s a mother culture instead of yeast so fermentation is involved similar to wine but less alcohol if any.

We are on year 4 of this vine and last year we had probably 5 lbs total.

 

Not a pic of the garden but this is blooming right now in our lobby.

 

So nice seeing a glimpse of that time, 50 yrs ago. Looks healthy. Our Mom gave us dreaded chores of weeding the garden, now weeding is instincual and habitual at times.

 

LOL! That cucumber pic inspired the Mrs to try planting the cuc's again.

 

I think that is a "Queen of The Night" cactus, The Mrs has a couple here. Beautiful bloom. We've had a really good year from our Dragon Fruit cactus this year, we have 7 trellis around the property, some full sun and some partial shade. This is Halley's Comet dragon fruit bloom, in 5 week's and we harvest em.

 

Yes it is, At one time last night we had 9 guests in the lobby taking pictures.

 

Growing vegetables next year, not sunflowers

 

Go ahead and put in some fall crops, green magic broccoli and some cabbages.

 

This junk is still putting out buds!

 

Broccoli, brussel sprouts and cabbage planted, soon to be, carrots , beets and lettuce.

 

The cedar boards on this bed are done. I’ll rebuild in the spring.

 

Plowed, spread some lime, tilled and dragged over. Closed.

 

Still growing ,getting some chilly mornings. 47* now
