Hey guys I need some help! It would be much appreciated! I have a 2004 Toyota Tacoma 2.7L regular cab base model automatic with a rear open diff. I was wanting to get some new 4.88 gears, and a TRE e-locker for the front. Online it says I have a 7.5" clamshell front diff with 30 spline count axles and on the rear it says it has a 8.4" diff with 27 spline count axles.... Does that sound right to anyone that has this same type of Toyota or just know about these trucks ?... You would think the axle spline count would be bigger in the rear! Thanks in advance!!

FYI, from factory, TRD DO NOT have front elocker. Don’t confuse manual locking hub or the CV tube actuator as a locker, completely different BTW.

Your front will be a high pinion 7.5 clamshell and rear will be a 8.4 third. You’re better off ordering from eastcoastgearsupply.com and adding both Harrop elocker for the front and rear plus the regear.

The rear is 30s while the front inboard is 27s and outboard being 30s.
