It does… easier to hurt yourself, easier to break parts. Harder to recover… you lose your invincibility cloak, but you gain wisdom to avoid such idiotic encounters. Sadly there is a tipping point and many have a long ramp to that point.

That is not a good idea.

The decks are just, too heavy.

Agree, they are brutal heavy. :ballchain:

I can load it with the forklift and drag it back off with the Ford.

How are you assembling on the job site?

You have to lay on the ground after jacking up the chassis to attach the belts.

It's not fun, but can be done if you don't mind multiple trips up off the ground to align the belts.

It's a no biggie for a young man, but I'm not doing it.

Please give this some more thoughts.

My regular mower trailer is 60" wide, the deck is 67".

We had the deck off when we were working on it earlier this year.
There are 2 locator arms on the back, we suspended them up with bungee cords, disconnect the lift chains and belt then slide the deck out.

The mower has a lift up door in the floor which makes getting the belt back on easy enough.
I do agree, the up & down is very tough for me anymore but I'll still do it.

I suppose I could drive the thing 15 miles home.

    I guess, I'm confused.

Is your plan to remove/install the deck on this new unit every time you need to mow multiple properties?

These 12 gauge decks are close to 350 lbs.

Seems a lot of work to cut a lot of grass in a hurry.

    Oh goodness no....

This one is coming home to use up here, the 42" ZT will keep the in town jobs, the old New Holland LS35 I currently use at home will stay here and be used as a backup if needed.

I would buy a new trailer before I would take that deck on/off several times a day.
