How to use auxbeam panel to switch a much larger external circuit?

    I'm thinking of wiring up an on-board compressor but it would be too high draw to have directly on the auxbeam.

    Would a heavy duty relay or continuous solenoid be better?

    if you want to control the compressor from the switch panel then you should use external relay to handle compressor's high amperage and your switch panel will control the relay.
