Got my truck wrapped, then this happened…

Truck’s throwing a P015A code for an 02 sensor. I think this is bank 1 sensor 1. Anyone used a none OEM sensor before?

Can buy 3 aftermarket for the price of 1 OEM from the stealership.

Otherwise, Any other tips for tackling a P015a code?

did someone steal or try and steal the cat and cut the wire? Can’t really help with your question but RockAuto might be worth a shot. Not that I know of they sell those or not.

You know what, I’m going to go check that right now. Hadn’t considered that! Sadly, wouldn’t be surprising in today’s day and age

 

I’d try new air filter first just cuz

 

I'd disconnect the battery for awhile just cuz it's free.

 

Seconding the advice above with a little more to add.

For starters, visually inspect the O2 Wiring. You might have been gnawed by a rat. If that's the case, only thing you can do is replace.
But if the wires look alright, then follow this.

Disco the battery for a few hours / over night (there's also a "fuse" under the hood that is just a jumper that can take care of this for you)
Clean the Mass Airflow Sensor
New (Non Oiled / K&N Style) Filter
Reset the code
Premium Fill up (on as empty of a tank as you can get to and at a Top Tier Fuel Station) and 2 cans of SeaFoam or 1 can of Berryman B-12.

Go drive it 200 miles and see if it returns. You'll be giving it the best chance for success. If that doesn't work, you will likely need a new O2. Might still be something else but O2 would be the place to start after all of that.

BTW - Sick ass wrap. Hope your engine is running as good as it looks soon.

 

Threw in a Denso sensor from autozone and about a half can a sea foam to the tank. Should be good from here!

wraps have come a long way but at the end of the day they just dont hold up aswell as paint and will degrade in a few years.
