I realize the donation program is not for everyone. It has been almost a year since his passing and the remains have not been released to his daughter. I miss him and his wife, my cousin, dearly. He was my lunch partner.

It is comforting to read good words about the VA. I almost stayed in the Army but ultimately decided not to remain in the service. In hindsight i should not have let the actions of a superior officer influence my decision. But alas we were so young and did not know much at all.

I had the walkway installed in 2018. I just maintain it so it does not fall apart. Resanding is critical to the longevity of the walkway. The first time I resealed and applied polymetric sand I really did not know how to do it properly. I have since learned better. The biggest lesson is removing any growth of anything in the paver seams as soon as you notice it. I have a knife dedicated to the job.

Good morning. Rained in the morning yesterday so not much happened on the shed install. The installers will be back this morning. Going to cook up a tritip for dinner tonight.

56 years ago I said "I Do" and life has been good to us but we don't celebrate on our anniversary because of 9/11 2001. Remember those lost that day and still suffering from the after effects.

There's a house down the street that had a brick walkway. I suppose it's still there, but you can't see it. The people that bought the house just let the lawn overgrow it until it disappeared. It's too bad, because they can be beautiful.

Thank you all for the Congratulations. It's been a long road but a overall,a smooth one. There has been some potholes in the road on occasion but they were quickly paved over.
    :D .

It was likely that way since the dawn of time but we never had the 24/7 media coverage we have today.

I'm making fun of death. Might be inappropriate. Certainly I don't feel any humor over 9/11. But I do see a lot of memorials that just seem a little morbid and over the top. The ones that make me cringe the most are pickup trucks with memorials in their rear window. Tattoos also come to mind. I just can't live with death the same way some people seem to be able to. I don't want a grave, a headstone, or an obituary. Leave me be...
