Hello i just got the unit 86140-04210 jbl version and I was wondering what i would need to install this into my 19 tacoma no jbl? I got it for 400 and I really wanted carplay/android auto. Also I'd like wireless carplay/android which one is best. The reason I got it was because I'd like to keep all the factory stuff and still want everything functional with the dash with no lags or anything. Thank you

JBL won't work in your vehicle.

I would suggest selling it or seeing if you can get your money back. Then get an aftermarket radio from crutchfield or trailgridpro. Trailgridpro sells plug and play radio kits with CarPlay.

Pioneer or Sony are both good options.

Another option is to find a CarPlay adapter for your factory radio.

if you want to stick oem you could also find the non jbl unit from 2020+ Tacoma.

I found one for 150 locally, got the harness from auto harness house and a 50$ wireless CarPlay adaptor from Amazon. I’m in under $400 on this setup and I love it.

I don't have the Hamilton or CarPlay. I kept the factory 2017 non jbl radio with nav and added kicker key 200.4/500.1 amps, jl stealthbox, focal rse-165, rcx-165 and secondskin damplifier pro 2mm on the inner doors and back cab wall.

From what I've read the Hamilton is a little expensive, but owners that want to retain the factory radio are happy with it. I believe it used to be 250-300.
Hamilton has several videos on YouTube. You might browse through and see what you think. Hamilton claims the factory steering wheel controls are fully functional.
