Was unable to replicate on my 2021 TRD.

My original key model is HYQ14FBB
I used a brand new Lexus HYQ14CBB Card (89904-53512) with fresh battery.
    Techstream V18.00
I attempted to program as several different Lexus models as well, but could never get the car to recognize the new key during programming.

Just wanted to throw it out there to possibly same someone some time and money.

Just leaving a note here that I was able to get this set up for my 2017 TRD Sport. Ended up using the HYQ14CBB fob (part number 89904-53511) and got one on ebay from a seller that stated it was "Unlocked".

Shoutout to @Victory for the details.

    Lots to do...
Been stalking this site for awhile now and just got this upgrade successfully completed on my 2017 OR. Thanks @Victory and everyone else for the amazingly helpful DIY tips and tricks!

Love my new key card!! The look or questions of "what is this" when I hand my key is the best part. I scored a new Lexus key (89904-53512) during Toyota's 25% off sale, so $150 wasn't terrible. For anyone in DFW TX area, Intellikey in Denton knocked this out in under 3 minutes. Only regret is not going used, since the locksmith said it's evidently a simple process to "forget" the old car and program to the Taco. Oh well.

so my ecu code matches (TMLF12-1) but fob code is way off (231451-0010 G, 14FBB on the back of the casing for the IC code).. 2022 trd sport. are we reliant upon the fob or the ecu more? I would imagine the latter.. I cant see why a card wouldn't work in the process I might just need a different base card code, no?
Best I can tell, selections are:
    14CBB (TMLF12-1)
    14CBK (TMLF15-2)
    14CBM (TMLF12-1) part# 89904-48X70
    14CBP (Lexus 17EAA/Toyota TMLF19D-3)
    14AEB (TMLF8-6)
possibly more, I only checked a few pages in on ebay listings.

By these numbers it seems the CBM card also works with the TMLF12-1 Smart Key Module and may be an alternative to nonfunctional CBB cards where the lexus line it corresponds to is newer (early 2020s) than the CBB key (mid 2010s)

card internal pictures can be found linked below at https://fccid.io/HYQ14CBK/amp

will edit this post as long as I am able with more information and findings as encountered.

Yeah, the newer Tacos seem to be a little tricky and may require more reading on this thread. I didn't even check my ecu. I strictly matched my fob (HYQ14FBA) to ensure it was compatible with the Lexus key card 14CBB, which matched part # 89904-53512 (HYQ14CBB). It's all about the frequency on your existing fob to the new key card.
I also used the FCC reports to verify the frequency range of my fob to the new fob. Hope this helps. https://fccid.io/HYQ14CBB/amp

e\ Bro theres a key card internal pic in that link. Awesome!! Unfortunately the fccid that corresponds to my old fob has a differentiating numerical code on the internal circuit board that the ones on mine and all listed CBB CBM CBP etc fobs list the same frequency range across the board as 312.1 and 314.35 and all have the internal code of 271451 with different hyphenates (CBB has 271451-533, CBA has -9000, CBP doesnt show one, CBM has -291, AEB has -222 and CBK has -227)

Interesting! Ill definitely check this out.. I read someone in the clublexus forums saying they couldnt get their key to work even though the freq matched @315hz or mhz or whatever it is but there are sure to be other factors involved that may have been unaddressed including user error.
