Yep. There is some very small scale stuff still going on like Russian items being shipped into places like Turkey for export but it dramatically raises the prices and is mostly stuff like stolen Russian AK rails or field gear.

Small arms are a very small factor in the equation. Not a nothing, but still way below things like manpower, artillery systems, ammunition supply and organization.

Russia's very reduced conventional ability now would require another 2014 type invasion where they drive in banking on no united resistance due to having already corrupted the target nation's govt and/or general hesitation to react.

11 years later the neighboring countries have seen that sort of threat play out and would be more likely to react strongly. A Suwałki Gap seizure attempt would have to immediately contend with Poland and Lithuania on 2 fronts.

There is an HG Wells novel (which explains why it does not contain references to WWII arms) called The Shape of Things to Come. A world war lasting 25+ years. All countries and societies are economically crush after such an extended war just funding armies instead of funding living.

The funny thing is a lot of actual Russian issue field gear and rifle parts got sold by Russian military members online to airsoft LARP kids in the West. There was complaining about it in 2022-2023 during their mess of a "surge". When you are a broke Russian supply troop with access to Russian gear stocks and an Ebay account...

Military declines due to collapsing internal structure do not seem to occur over years. They hang on hard, pushing out all they have left right up to "nothing left" and it effectively just stops. British army at Yorktown (trying to get their fleet in to reinforce until it was block by the French fleet), Lee at Appomatox (and only a few remaining forces who wanted to run militia operations), Russian forces protecting Stalingrad and Moscow (despite the city being destroyed).

Just got a Harrison custom medium pad trigger in. I fitted it to the gun last night and as always, can’t wait to get back out to shoot it.

I was about today’s years old when I caved and purchased an ultrasonic cleaner. Haven’t used one since the military (17+ years ago) and have been kicking myself for sleeping on these things. I initially purchased a small 1.5L unit off Amazon for $60 and quickly realized it was not going to be size sufficient. Sacked up and purchased a 5L rectangular shape to fit rifle parts in.
Next thing I need to figure out is what the best solutions to use are and the process in which to do it.
I’ve used slip2000 carbon killer and 725 gun cleaner degreaser for some small internal parts which worked amazing.
Any help, tips, tricks would be immensely appreciated guys!

I honestly usually just use Dawn Dish Soap in mine. I have a small 1.5L one though. Ill run it heated and for multiple cycles usually (like 20-25 minutes). Sometimes changing out the solution if it was a particularly dirty item.

I have some Honrady One-Shot stuff too but really didnt notice any difference between it and dawn.

SO might be worth trying it out and seeing if it works well enough for you before getting more expensive stuff.

I’ve always used window cleaner, especially on muzzleloader parts.

Wow thanks for the tips. I’ve been using it with the Slip2000 725 degreaser stuff but watered down. Idk why I never thought to invest in an ultrasonic cleaner. I need to add some mesh to the bottom of the basket as the holes are too big for the small pieces. And haven’t tried any rifle parts but I think half of my upper receiver should fit as the tank is ~19” long.

I hardly ever fill my ultrasonic with cleaning solution. I put small stuff in mason jars of solution and fill the rest of the machine with water. Also keeps the machine from getting dirty. I mainly use mine to clean scuba reg pieces for rebuilds.
