I have a set of the new ball joints on hand. Picked em up 2-3 days ago and seem much better built

with the leg still healing, i've spent time tinkering and i've narrowed down to what i intend to print formyself to try.
If anyone is down, Here are the print files to give it a shot.
    https://makerworld.com/en/models/1795246-tacoma-spc-uca-replacement-bushings#profileId-1913844

Replacement bushings for Specialty Products Company (SPC)/ SPC Performance for Upper control arms (UCAs) model 25470 that replaces the need for the SPC X-Axis bushing replacement kit model 25030.

Issues with the old-style steel sleeved/ molded UCA bushings that have failed faster than intended. New 3D printable bushing model is intended to be printed in TPU 90A or 95A.

    Material used;

    Print settings used:
    • 0.6mm nozzle on a Bambulab P1S (AMS not used)
    • 7 wall loops (Could do solid infill)
    • 7 top and bottom walls (May best to adjust top walls to 5 to soften “grip” once bushing is inserted into the UCA, this adds some movement to prevent it clamping on the steel shaft.)
    • 25% in-fill with Gyroid (No particular reason other than hoping to keep the flexibility of the material)

    Optional:
I have printed it with Bricklayers intending to help with layer separation/ adhesion. (See notes in the .3mf files, i've added the base file location but you may need to update this. Remove the “;” from the start of the note and make sure plug-in is installed.

    Features:
    • Split design, Easier to insert from either side.
    • Printing the model does not need supports, so it's a touch faster and more reliable.
    • Grease storage, Intended to Drill and tap for a Zerk fitting of your Choice. SPC GEN1 Ball joints use a 1/4-28 thread tap. would be worth while using the same zerk fitting to keep it consistent incase you need to change the balljoint fittings for whatever reason.
    • Grease channels around steel shafts, might need to reduce the number of these but grease does flow.
    • Added SPC UCA Alignment tool for anyone who wants to use Zerk fittings. (Defaulted to 90 and 45 bends in the UCA)

NOTE: I AM NOT PRINTING THESE FOR OTHERS AND SHIPPING. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK, THIS IS FOR EDUCATIONAL USE ONLY (or just send it)

Once i pop out the x-axis bushings out of my second set of SPC UCAs, i'll get a better measurement for the outer dimension. as the measurements i have on hand, it should fit snuggly.

overall, it's a project - should it work? yes, will it? Maybe.
i'm not saying it's all eye balled, but the design i have is untested unlike @perryparts design/ UCA replacement bushings. Looking forward to theirs, but these should do in the intermediate/ until then.
if they hold up more than 20,000km then we're already better than the OG X-Axis bushings lol
