Hi I'm nate from vt recently picked up a 99 tacoma sr5 2.7l ex cab 4wd manual transmission. Truck runs and drives great but from cab back where the frame goes from tubing to channel it was reached so I took box off and dropped gas tank and patched all three sides and patched about 18" of the tubing and then built a flatbed. Turned out pretty good.
Im 48 a 25 year pipefitter/welder but for past year I took a job a ge making turbine vanes because i got sick of traveling. Ive always done my own mechanic work. I get alot of satisfaction from it. I usually run gm bit this toyota was to good to pass up. The guy i got it from couldnt get it inspected. Its nothing special but i love it.
