    Hello all,
I have questions about wiring up solar for a redarc bddc1225d which will charge an aux battery.

I currently have a 90w lensun solar panel on my hood and plan to add a 200w panel to my canopy.

I'm trying to figure out how to wire them. Looking at the input specs and wiring diagram for the bddc1225d it appears that I will need to run them in parallel as two panels with ~20v open voltage would be out of its spec if ran in serial.
It also looks like both panels will need to be grounded to the chassis, should I do this closer to the panel or run the chassis ground wire closer to the terminal post for the batteries and charge controller?

    So in summary.
    - should I wire the panels in a parallel (y input)?
    - can I ground the panels closer to them or should I run their ground close to or even attach them to the same ground point as the bddc1225d?

Screenshots from the user manual below. Ground to chassis ground (wherever). You can also call REDARC, their customer support is great.

Thanks, I'm thinking of setting up an additional ground stud next to my chassis ground to give some things like the panel a quick clean return.
