9/11 Memorial along the PCH at Pepperdine today. This view hit so much harder this year vs years past given recent events and happenings of this past week in my personal life. The ride to and from Pepperdine (round trip 70ish miles) I have never seen more USA flags being flown on cars and places here in SoCal.

To say I was overwhelmed with emotions when I got to where this pic was taken was an understatement. When I parked it all came to a head, had to take 30 min or so to walk things off and collect my thoughts before continuing on my way.

If you have a spouse and kids, hug them tight. Hug them unbelievably tight and cherish their love. If its just you; find a friend, family, parents, neighbor that can give you a hug or you can give a hug to, to spread the love.

The world needs that right now.

20 years ago right now, I was across the pond. I have been reminiscing the good and bad while in country. That said (talking out of my left ear), live life the best you can through the thick and thin of it.

last night me and the gf had a disagreement? tbh i had no clue what was going on! i was sick as a dog and stuck in bed all day! but that is all sorted and we are good. so not going into that stuff.

i decided to take a cruise on the bike at like 11pm ish. so pitch black out! just to get some cold air and think about what even she could be upset about?
well while i was ridding i found my self on this little country road in a pretty large city near me and thought well this is odd? so i kept ridding down it to just see where it went! because exploring why not! i get further down the road and i see on my maps that there is two stupid sharp curves that say to go at least 10mph on! they were not kidding they were sharp! i hit the first corner and boom farm fields all around like oh this is kinda nice late at night actually! i hit the second corner and there is a bright white dilapidated old barn shoved pretty far away from this house tucked into some trees. you can easily see it from the road idk if it was because i was tired or still sick af but i was drawn to stare at this barn doing idk 10mph? was like huh neat old creepy barn! i start getting closer and man every hair i got left on my head and neck stood tf up! idk why but i got some creepy vibes if that makes sense lmao. gunned the bike and took off lmao.

i actually looked on google maps to find it! but this is the barn that creeped me out last night for some reason lol

so anyone else had anything like this or similar something kinda creepy or something that caught your attention for some odd reason?

no im not a ghost person or what ever you wanna call it!

I have nothing to compare them to, but I have been super happy with the 804/805 Shinko's.
They were squirmy when new, a combination of too much psi and not being scrubbed in, but after I sorted that out, they have been great. Factory street psi for the bike was 28/32
I found dropping a couple psi in both on the pavement was huge in how they perform as they were stiffer than the IRC's. I have been running them at my new street pressure (26/30) on the pavement and trails and they have been fine.
One thing that surprised me was how well the front runs on the grooved pavement.

Thanks for the advice! I'll start them at factory PSI and go from there and see how they ride compared to the Trailmax Missions.

My offroad PSI on the F800GS is typically 25, with street pressures about 36f/38r. I have trailmax missions front and rear right now, not the shinkos, so obviously ymmv. When i'm too low on pressure I'll feel my steering getting really slugging and unresponsive, especially medium 15-40mph ish speeds. It'll just start feeling wrong. I'd start high and drop a couple PSI at a time until you start to feel the difference in steering and feel, then go back up a couple PSI.

My Trailmax Missions are cupping pretty badly, especially the front tire. Not super happy with them as I only got 8k miles out of them. I could probably get another 1-2k out of them on asphalt but at this point I’m not going to bother. The Shinkos are so much cheaper.

I have a 5 hour ride before starting the BDR so I’ll definitely start high and drop the pressure as I get to the off-road bits.
