Went to my 50th reunion a few years ago. First I’ve been to. I was also on the organizational committee to plan it. It was awesome, had a fabulous time. I was in a high school fraternity and me and the guys were like brothers, the best of friends. But over the years many of us drifted about and lost contact with each other. Well a bunch of us showed up and renewed our friendships. Plus we hooked up with others who weren’t at the reunion. Now we’re like a family again. We all get together a few times a year and have a great time. Wives all get along too. And interestingly I found one of my good friends lives only 20 miles south of me and owns a large vineyard. (Great wine) We now all get together there once a year for a big bbq/party and great wine. Also was interesting seeing some girls I use to date. That’s all I’ll say about that.
So yeh my first reunion after 50 years was awesome. Or if a person was kind of a wall flower probably wouldn’t be a real great time.
I think if you go expecting to have a lousy time that’s what you get. For me it was great.

I was kind of a wall flower in high school, the only attention I got was because as a sophomore I was faster than a single senior and a single junior in cross country and the fastest in the two-mile in track. I ended up being the captain of both the track and cross country teams in both of my junior and senior years, but even that wasn't enough to allow me to be anything other than a dork or a nerd. Fast forward fifty years, and it seems the tables have turned a bit; I had a blast meeting people I'd never once exchanged a single word of greeting with. Here is a shot with me and one of my classmates; we met for the first time last Friday, and her life story literally blew me away, I mean seriously impressive.

Never lost any sleep over any reunion, never missed anyone, and never will. I'll just live happily ever after. Life is way too short to worry about it.
