    Good morning

Well, the dog sleep saga continues. She was up last night. Not as bad as Saturday night but I ended up sleeping in the living room in my recliner with her on the couch. If I moved, she’d pick up her head. She’s just not relaxed even with the meds in her. I wonder if she’d let MermAndy watch her. Maybe Andy was onto something - I’m drugging the wrong being…

Had mis fires on the way up, ugh.

Took out the #6 coil and it had a nice scorch mark.
This was after I wiped most of it off

Evening 50s been a while. Started my annual mowing of the fields at the cabin. Hit a groundhog hole in high gear bounced me out of seat. Wrist is thumping shoulder aching. Wife is with girlfriends out of town tonight...

    Good evening everyone.

    20250916_205006[1].jpg

Shredded rotisserie chicken, warmed up in instant chicken gravy and hot roasted red potatoes. Mmm, this is the 1st decent meal that I've felt like cooking for myself in a while. It's 60° and raining hard and pitch dark by 7:30 already. :(

    I needed a pick-me-up

So, I'm at a cross roads of sorts. I started looking closer at 5th gen T4R's, there was a '19 T4R OR with 82K miles for under $34K at a dealership in SE Georgia ( Columbus to be exact) I saw the ad on cars . c o m I've spoken to a sales guy at the stealership, he actually seems like a decent person, I have not had a single pestering phone call or text from him. When I ask a question through e-mail or text, he is pretty quick to respond. I've gotten a dozen pics of the under carriage plus the 3 dozen pics on their website, this is just a clean one owner rig.

I got pre-approved from my credit union for a used car purchase, regardless if it's this T4R or something else. I just recently paid off the Taco but after another 2 hr drive in it last week and having my lower back and neck hurt from the seats and seating position, it needs to go away.

The dealership has done out of state purchases before, I have never done one. I'm a nervous wreck just thinking about the logistics and the amount of $$ involved. They are offering to hold the vehicle once an agreed price is reached and some front end paper work is e-signed along with a refundable good faith deposit, which is completely understandable. I have a certain amount of $$ to use as a down payment, I plan to replenish that rainy day fund from the proceeds when I sell the Taco. The overall amount financed isn't too bad, the payment would only be about $100 more than the payments were on the Taco.

Here's where I'm having anxiety- the simple fact of having to fly to Atlanta, rent a car for the remainder 1.5 hr drive to get to the dealership, sigh paperwork/spend a lot of money ( at least to me) then drive off for a 14 hr drive home in a vehicle that I will look at and take for a 30 minute test drive before making it official.

Tell me that I'm over thinking it?? I've done Road-Kill level bullshit decades ago with driving to western Montana with the 'Burb and a 20' car trailer, finding a "gem" and getting it driveable enough to attempt the trip back home to Washington while having the 'burb/ trailer right behind me, just incase. This is different somehow.

Can't "like" that, I'm glad that you didn't run yourself over ( or worse) I hope that the wrist isn't anything serious.

You need justification? We can do that.

The deal sounds good and 14 hours isn't too bad, gives you a chance to give it a good test drive. Think of this whole thing as an adventure.

My neighbor flew from L.A. to the Carolinas to get a truck he wanted

How long is the loan term? Don't know why that makes a difference, I think im trying to sound adulty

Well sorry to hear about the groundhog ordeal but the field looks nice, do you just mow it or do you bale as well? If you bale it what is a bale of hay selling for up there?

I would admit that it does sound a little overwhelming to get it all done, but I believe you will like the T4R over the Taco. You could take your time coming home if you choose and see the sites a little bit along the way vs just doing a hard run home. I always enjoyed driving the wife’s T4R over my Tacoma, and when we decided to trade it in for the F150 we kept the T4R and I got her a new used vehicle which she loves. My guess they will do Docusign or whatever, most of the other paperwork will be done with the bank and them once you arrive, should only take an hour is my guess depending on the size of the dealership.
