Jandrews - you have some cool pics of the New River Gorge. Looks pretty badass over in that area. I've paddled the New River, never hiked, climbed, or camped in that area tho. Reminds me of the Red River Gorge here in Ky.

Bump! I was just wondering if there were many climbers on here and ran a search. I'm from Wichita... we have a pretty good gym but I love the outdoors so I try to make trips as often as possible to some real rock (KS doesn't have much, obviously). My favorite spots are in the Ozarks in Arkansas, around Horseshoe Canyon(anyone heard of 24 Hours of Horseshoe Hell!? google it!), Sam's Throne, Cave Creek, etc. I also go down south to the Wichita Mountains in Oklahoma.. the climbs there are a little more spread out but has some awesome multi-pitch routes with great exposure. I don't do too much trad climbing (can't ever afford a rack) unless my step-brother comes and brings his, so I'm mostly sport(lead) climbing. I'm not great.. been climbing off and on for a couple years and I think my hardest onsight was a 5.10d, and even that surprised me. Usually stick around the 5.10b range for comfort. Here's a few pics of climbing in the AR Ozarks region:

Let me know if any of you guys are around this midwest area and want to have a Taco/Climb meet!
