    POSER ALERT!!!

You can build yourself a more capable rig FAR CHEAPER.

That's just a perty lifted street queen! :D:D

Unless you've got money to burn and can handle making the repairs to keep it offroad maintained and keep it all perty and queenish.

if toyota came out with an convertable 4x4 i would kill you all if it got me one step closer to getting one...

just thought I'd let you know that.

also, jeeps can have 6 doors for all i care,
i dont give a fuck how hardcore someone is on jeep "selling out"
    i like to run,
my jeep is too short to run.
if i had a 4 door I would use it to run,
most people who buy the four door (with off road in mind) arent looking to crawl.

thats why they still make the two door.

its called a choice. so STFU, and enjoy your tacos

and in response to the underpowered question directed at me.
I friggin love the 4.0 in my jeep. the new (yet somehow old)3.8 just isnt any fun!

You'd need to wheel it *smartly*

This past October, a guy in a lifted JK went blazing through a mudhole and busted out both u-joints in the front axle shafts. After doing that - he apparently kept going....and busted up his front ring & pinion AND busted up his rear ring & pinion. Those D44's aren't bulletproof. Obviously, he wasn't aware of that.

I heard about that from keystone krawlers I think.. So he was just in a mud hole?? I can see how the domino effect could occur, but how did his U joints bust from a mud hole?? there has to be more to this story../.?

^ummmm, i dont think that JK has 44's

though if its post 07 it will have a rear one (regardless of trim) but a LOT of unlimiteds left the factory with the Dana 35 rears meant for the 2 door. it wasnt until 08 that the D44 rear was standard in all wranglers

and if that isnt a rubicon, it will still have a dana 30 up front. which isnt a terrible axle.

though from what i see, i wouldnt be suprised if those were aftermarket axles. that front looks beefier than a standard 44!

    also,

i was a tad drunk during my last post in this thread... SORRY!

but yeah, if there was a NEW, toyota,4x4, convertible. i would do ANYTHING to get it.

yeah, whats scary though is how easy its become to put 37s on the JK. used to be for jeeps like my TJ you needed at minimum, a several thousand dollar lift in the 4 inches+++ catagory. and a body lift and some trimming would probably still be needed.

now. it barely takes anything. ive seen JKs on 37s with a 3 inch lift! Ill pass on that combo!

but the 44s are good for the 35 and under set, though i would still rebuild the front and go for a 60 out back... cause i likes the speed, not the rocks!
