ok, but if this spacer is about 1.5'' of lift, then how did i only get 2'' of lift out of the OME? that doesn't make sense.

I thought you said you were at 3.5" lift? At 3.5" lift, thats about the max your truck will lift. Odds are, you have no down travel. Removing the spacer should keep you about 2.5 to 3" lift, and a better ride.

oh, i am at about 3.5''. 24'' hub to fender. i was just saying that you said the spacer is about 1.5''. so if it's 1.5'', and i'm overall at 3.5'', then the OME only would have given me 2''.

i think i have a little down travel, because some smaller bad spots in the road i don't really feel anymore. the bigger bad spots are still not great, but they are better also. it's not a plush ride, but i am alright with it as long as nothing is going to tear up.

Stacking lifts doesnt give the total advertised lift height.

    ie : you could take out your " 1 1/2" " spacer and still have 2 1/2" - 3" of lift .

okay, makes sense then. last thing. i'm low on funds for the truck at the time. i thought this would be the last thing i'd be doing to it for a while. so am i at any severe risk of tearing anything up by riding on it like this until i can get the money to fix it? or will i be fine and just have a stiffer ride in the mean time?

You shouldnt hurt anything, but the springs may sag from teh extra pre load on them depending on how long you run them like that.
