Does anyone know if there is a diesel toyota motor that will swap into a 2001 tacoma with a 2.7liter in it? I know they make a hilux in europe that has a diesel and I'm just looking for a swap that I won't have to do to much fabrication.

welcome to TW. I have no real answer, but maybe advanced adapters might or they can steer you where you need.

Thats actually an interesting thought that I've had before. I know the Hilux trucks in Latin America Run a 2.7 Liter Turbo diesel. They are slow but torquey.

Yep you can get that and it will fit. But you will need to change everything from the radiator to the fuel tank. Even most of the exhaust.....

They installed a diesel from a VW into a Samari on extreme 4x4, so anything my work besides a Toyota diesel.

My first Toyota was an 82. It was bought in Germany and was a diesel. Throughout my travels I have seen quite a few newer units with diesels but none here in the states. Most recently in the Bahama's. You are in NH so if you are able to locate one from there, shipping will be only thing which could make the cost prohibitive. G/L!
