Can you fit 35s on stock sport 17s?

Doubtful that they will fit on stock rims. You'll want a 8-9 inch wide rim for something like a 35-12.5-17

Well shit a 44" tire that's 10" wide will fit on a oem wheel. That's not much of a question.

They will fit on your wheels, no problem there... Fitting the 35s in the wheel well will be much harder to do and will involve intesive cutting, pounding and other manipulations of your wheel wells. GL

 

he basically said it all and personally i would go with 33's on a stock truck. still you will have rubbing but it wont be near the same as it would with 35's. you will have to do a little trimming.

I'm looking into a six inch and I'm probably gonna go with 33 inch rubber. That's plenty big for me.

 

35 x 12.5 or even a 315-70R17 Is really pushing it on a 17" diameter 7.5" wide rim. Even with 16"s you're supposed to have at least an 8" wide rim. And as others have said a 35" on a 3" lift is doable with lots of triming including cab mount chop.

 

Just a question why would you want to put 35's on stock wheels?

 

Tire manufacturers for 35s or 315s suggest an 8" wide wheel. Some shops will install them on a 7" wheel but you may have weird wear as it causes the tires to balloon. It's really worth getting the proper wheel width.

You can make 35s fit with a 3" lift but it will require a lot of cutting and modification. Check my build thread if you're interested. I had to chop my cab mounts a bunch, pounded the fuck out of the firewall and pinch weld with a sledge and I'm still playing with my alignment and a couple other things trying to eliminate any rubbing. I also cut the fenders and had a body shop cut the flares. You may also choose to re-gear.

There are a few of us running 35s and I wasn't the first. Check around.
