haha, doubt it would get you anywhere, but still....

 

So what is the point of loud music????? Is it to let everyone else know what kind of music you're into or what type of mood your in????? Seriously I just don't get it. I mean don't get me wrong, if I'm in the right mood, my music is a little loud but never to the point that someone more than 10-15 could hear it.

On a side note, I had a funny instance with someone with their loud music. When I was driving tractor-trailers for a living, one of the tractors in our fleet had straight stacks. I came up on a traffic light where this punk was sitting in his Honda rice burner (you know the type, barely runs but has a great stereo) with his girl. Music was blaring to the point where you could tell everyone around thought he was an ass. I flipped on the engine brake and revved the engine. With a 600 Cummins coupled to straight stacks, I drowned out his music pretty good. haha

 

I think it all should depend on certain circumstances. I mean if it was almost 1 in the am, and i was rolling through someones neighborhoo(d with my system up, i deserve the ticket. (pretty disrespectable)

MY CIRCUMSTANCES_ [ It was a Saturday night and it was about 11:00 P.M., i was helping my dad put rear brakes on his jeep. Afer enjoying a nice ribeye and hanging out. I Left, Went to a gas station, got a purple monster. pulled out on 280 (4-lane) and turned left to go down town sylacauga. its about a mile down straight away (speed is 25mph) alot of businesses (not open 12am) (no houses) (no people walkin). i pull up at our post office, (red light) in the left turning lane. There is a cop about 25-30 feet away in a parking lot with his lights off. i see him, and really dont think my music is TOO loud. i mean i wasnt bothering anyone. i was really testing my radio. Because it kept cutting off at high volumes. i thought i better do this now, before i get at my house and wak everyone up. well the cop was thinking different. and said there was a 0 tolerence for loud music and gave me a citation. ]

 

Yea, sprirt of the law vs. letter of the law. I dont feel you violated the spirit of the law, like you said , it wasnt a neighborhood.

 

Just to let everyone know, court didn't go as planned. $328
