    A few bolts are different.
my friend and i were messing around and spilled a beer, 4-5oz on his Macbook, on the key board, bottom right quarter. We did this right at Thanks giving and a week ago the computer just died. One repair guy said that the HD was fried in it, can this be as easy as just swapping in a new HD and reloading osx etc. or are we deffinetely looking at needing a new computer.

With souch a time span in between the spill and crashing it it a possibility that something else could have caused the crash other than there being traces of a liquid spilled in there? I just dont want to be stuck with paying for anything i dont have to.

    Thanks for thr help.

Personally, I'd take the thing apart and get to work with some contact cleaner. If you've never done that sort of thing, then I wouldn't recommend doing it.

Wait till PT comes in here, he is going to start bitching and moaning about how much he hates working on macs.
