Harbor freight sells some sturdy and very affordable safes. They sell floor safes as well as flush wall mount safes

Momma insisted we get a gun safe for the bedroom now that we have a 3 y/o granddaughter running around the house many weekends. I bought a biometric GunVault and mounted it under the bed frame on momma's side of the bed. I do some travelling so I wanted it to be handy to her and I can jump to her side of the bed real fast if I have to.

It is very slick. One wipe of the fingers and the sucker pops open, no combo, no keys.

I have been thinking about a safe for awhile. I am definitely getting one for the truck but for the house i am going to wait untill have kids. I just keep mine in a holster sitting on my nightstand and my wife does the same.

I personally would not have it unsecured with children around.
There may be other kids that can come into contact with it and that is just too much risk for me to take.
I have no kids at home any more but friends and realatives to visit with the little rugrats.
I just purchased a Lock Saf that is fingerprint opened and they are the best ones I have read about for reliability.
