Rocker panel bolt hole patch

I am going to remove my Carr hoop truck step from my double cab and get some sliders. The truck step is bolted in to the bottom rocker panel and floorboard of truck. How should i patch up the bolt holes? I really don't want to patch the holes with bondo.

I could just take off the step and put the bolts back in the hole with some silicone sealant. The bolts should not be very noticeable. any other suggestions to patch these holes?

Put antiseize on the bolt and run it back in. Sealant will eventually fail and allow crap to get in. Antiseize will allow you to remove the bolt and use the hole for something later. Or, fill in with epoxy stick, prime, and paint.

 

Thank you sir for the quick response and for the anti-seize tip. The epoxy stick is a great idea to, but i'll pass on prime and paint. I can live with the small bolts.

I'd recommend putting some paint on those bolts... The raw steel in the rocker is now exposed, and it's a rust-trap waiting to happen. If you throw some paint on there (even just touch-up) it will seal the bolts, and the bare metal, not allowing moisture in, and keeping rust away.
