aftermarket wheels and tires w/o lift pics please

Ive seen alot of pics with lifted and leveled 05+Tacomas, but does anyone have any pics with just aftermarket rims and tires? Right now I cant swing the lift, rims, tires, alignment, and the other expenses that come with a lift. But what I can do is grab a set of tires and rims to get my truck at least looking better for now. Ive got an 09 DC 4wd shortbed v6 speed way blue NON TRD and its begging to look better. Please include details such as backspacing, offset,rim size, the more the better.

 

What type of rims and tires are you looking to get?

 

Im looking at moto metals or some mickey thompsons. I like the new side bitter rim. Im just trying to see what looks good on a stock suspension. I want a little wider and taller tire than the 245's. That's all for now.

 

Just make sure what ever wheel you buy will be compatible with a tire size you may want later when you lift. That way you just need new tires rather than the whole deal.

I went with Bridgestone Dueler AT Revo's right off the lot. Great tires. Lifted my truck and sure enough needed to go bigger. So got 16x8's DC-1's, but knew that the AT Revo's @ stock size would irritate me, and 2 mos later I had new tires.

Basically just plan for the long run, cause if you take sure cuts, it will cost more in the end. Good luck...

 

You might want to post up some pictures of your truck along with the wheel you're interested in on the Photoshop thread. Most wheel rim pictures are slightly angled so try to get a picture of your truck at a similar angle otherwise the photoshop version can look a little odd. It's not always a perfect solution but you can usually tell if you're going to like the look.
