Yup it's a Craftsman 2 ton jack tucked in under there :) got the handle on the drivers side in a spring loaded holder. I'm going to mount some L-brackets on the floor of the bed on either side of the spare behind the wheels to hold a couple jerry cans so once that's done more pics will be up lol.

I think Richard snapped a few more but he's probably still sleeping. It was a long night.

    Felt the same way.

Took off just past the ranger station thru Shell Reef Expressway, up crossover trail (think) ended up turning around back down the expressway took bank wash up to cut across trail into the Thule Wash, all the way out to Salton Seal (close enough to smell it), then up the power lines to Truckhaven. We then took some paved road west from the gas station and grabbed NF Arroyo Salado that turned into a canyon rocky trail, told Eddie it was all good and we should be at the camp ground soon until we ran into a round about and a 6 ft drain pipe. Back tracked, some wash south, Pumpkin Patch trail, some more connector to another wash that had us running pretty fast for a while til we hit the 78 or whatever. Good times. Gonna miss the desert and Socal when I move to the PNW.

I always wanted to trek up towards that area just to see what it looks like. It just seems like it gets crazy sanding and usually dont have a 4x4 guy with me. I could probably do it now that I drive much better than I did last year. You guys hit much deep sand? Deep meaning like worse than tarantula wash.

Only a couple spots we had to go into 4wd. For the most part all the sandy spots felt like hard pack under it, seemed like there were more rocks than last time. Could have been the lighting making em stand out. Why is Tarantula super soft? Last time we were out there we went up some hill behind Blow Sand (I think) and it was pretty soft. The 2wd's digged in when stopped. Doug pulled em out pretty easy though.
