Gibson Exhaust

First off thanks to everyone out there with words of wisdom and sick trucks. Just wondering though...does anyone have or know someone who has the Gibson cat back system??? Trying to figure out the right combo here for my truck. Increased performance would be great but I dont want it to wind up sounding like a rice rocket. Just looking for that all elusive deep velvety smooth sound. Any info would like always be greatly appreciated..

no experieence with them, but im gonna say stay away from gibson(ive heard they are kinda cheap on the way the product is made and materials). i have a flowmaster original40 on my 4.0 tacoma.....check out the soundclip.........

Dab - I must be the only one running a Gibson cat back. Been on about a year. It's the SS model...$375 and shipping. I like mine doesn't sound too loud or tinny and it's quiet in the cab. The only time I hear it is in the confines of a car wash stall. I usually check the underside over when I'm changing oil and I haven't found a thing out of place yet. As far as performance goes...everybody makes claims. But until somebody puts one on a dyno and tests one make against another and another on the same day under the same conditions with the same operator it's all marketing hype. They all help and make a difference. I dropped a K&N filter in mine at the same time and the difference in pick up was noticeable. I'd buy another....fwiw
