Can't say I'm suprised , I think it is an inherent trait in the truck .

    You don't want to know...

I would look at going for it... Maybe you can get out from under the damaged truck, and get a new one.

Granted, it will probably have the same vibration, I just wouldn't tell anyone.

Interesting thread. I own a stock 2009 double cab 4x4 OR. completely stock with TSB leafs. I just want to report that my truck has no vibrations. It works great and it's smooth as glass at all speeds. It's got a hint of take off shudder from the TSB leafs and that's it. Sorry to the OP for all the troubles.

My pregnant wife is just thrilled! Not only is my truck not fixed, but I just spend $700 on tires too...

I had an '06 PreRunner Access Cab 6-speed with the leaf TSB and no vibration. I now have an '08 DCLB 4X4 auto with non-TSB leaves. It has a vibration, but I am feeling it through the steering wheel and since the truck had new tires put on right before I bought it, I think it is a tire balance issue. I will test that theory next time I'm near a tire shop.

Has anyone who has the vibration tried running with an extra hundred or so pounds of balast in the bed?

I've had the grinding sound and vibrations when letting off the throttle since I got the truck in January with 17,000 miles. After lubing the chassis, I tried flipping the driveshaft (single piece for regular cab), but the only thing that did was move the sound behind me more. I'm dead convinced that this is a driveshaft angle and slip yoke issue because: 1) it gets better when the gas tank is completely full, 2) it's better when there's a load in the bed, 3) it's been much worse after I installed my Hellwig 981 helper springs, which raised the rear by ~3/4"

Also, what's this TSB for the rear differential? Are 2006's covered? What's the issue? My powertrain warranty is up in October and would like to get any potential problems fixed before then.

ShaneHD, sorry for your luck man. I hope that you can get things worked out. The Forward in my 2006 owner's manual has this number, but I don't think that it's the main "warranty" number, just the north american customer service number --> 1-800-331-4331

I passed this on to the dealership for the 2010 I own. Today, the vibration and noise got louder and now starts at 50mph. I swear...I had this same problem in my 1999 Jeep Cherokee and I had the pinion bearing replaced 3 times during my 55k-190k venture with it. Sure seems a lot of the same with this truck.

Now, I am frustrated beyond all belief.

Dude if it is bothers you that much, why not just get rid of the truck? It's obvious you aren't happy with it and probably never will be. I'm sure someone would be glad to take it off your hands with all the new parts you've got into it from complaining.

Edit- Or better yet you could get a chair massager. You wouldn't be able to feel the vibration over one of those

Dude....back the F off. I love my truck...but this issue is frustrating and annoying, certainly not what I bought new for. There is something WRONG with the vehicle.....would you buy it from me?

    The nerve...

Not trying to be confrontational, I'm just saying man. Why nit-pick over a tiny detail? If you love the truck, drive it, don't let it sit in the shop 24/7

This is NOT NIT-PICKING. There is a major issue here that is getting worse. I would appreciate it if you would leave this thread now, this is a general discussion about the issue....not with what you want to voice.
