Do you think its possible?

Did the BHLM a few months ago and sprayed the turn signal cover and you cant tell when im turning now. Really want to fix it so my question is,

Do you think its possible to heat up the headlight.
Take it apart
Remove the spray or the cover itself.
Reheat everything and use the same window weld that i applied before and reclamp everything.

If so do you think it will seal off the outside world from all the moisture. Really just want this problem fixed but dont want to have to scrape out all the old glue and apply new glue, especially when I have no more left.

 

More than likely you will be able to re-use the window-weld stuff assuming you applied it liberally the first time. Basically, it will seal up again as long as there's enough sealant to do the job. If it were me, I'd rather be safe than sorry and have some extra on hand in case some areas look a little shy when you take them apart.

 

When I did my BHLM over a year ago, I reused the OEM sealant and I have not had any issues.

Before re-assembling them, I pushed all the sealant back into the grooves and it worked out just fine.
