Hey everyone! I came across this forum and thought it might be cool to join up.

My name is Zell and I recently got a 2011 Tacoma in January after 5 years of wanting one! One day I finally put my foot down and traded in my Rav4 for a Tacoma. I had my eye on the Tacoma for years but I decided on the Rav. They're really faithful little SUV's and they have very little problems but... my heart had been set on the Taco for so long I just had to have one.

The truck and I got used to each other pretty fast and damn I absolutely love it. 2011 Black Tacoma 4X2 Prerunner 4.0L V6 5-speed automatic.

I don't plan on going offroad too much with her or anything... but I do like the look of a lifted truck with slightly larger wheels. I have never customized a vehicle in my life and I'm not very tech-savvy with that kinda stuff. I really would love a body lift at least. I do know, however, that it's not quite as prestigious or whatever to have a body lift over a good suspension lift. But I want a lift mainly for the look and not for offroading.

I have been researching lifts and kits and troubles and all sorts of stuff over the past few months. I'm pretty sure I'm set with the body lift. Thing is... being not very knowledgeable about car mechanics, I really want to know exactly what I should do about getting a lift. Whether to ask a shop to do it, or attempt to do it myself (bad idea lol), ask the dealership, ask someone on here... I want the lift but I'm just not sure about how to go about finding the right way to get it!

Maybe this forum could help me out! I'm new to car/truck customization and stuff so go easy on me!
