FWIW ... I watch the C-5s, C-17s, C-130s, C-141s, F-4s, F-15s, F-16s, F-18s and even the F-22s come in super low (across Hwy 41 - end of runway) at Dobbins AFB/Locheed Martin combo base in Marietta, GA. One of the best places in the US to watch an air show there (runway's end at Hwy 41).

It looks like to can reach up and touch "Air Force One" when it comes in too.

i was driving our unit to work one night my last deployment and came in by the north end of the runway as a c-17 was on approach. timed it perfect and it crossed right over us. looked like it was about 30 feet above us, although it was alot higher.

if anyone ever gets a chance to go out to the EOR when you have 2 B1Bs taking off at full augmenter, you have to do it. it feels like your heart is going to jump out of your chest!
