New here....just picked up an 08 ...

    Thats how I put my two 125's in there.
    Just FYI... That picture is the long bed (Opt. DC, Std on AC & RC).
    Its a PITA to get them slid over to the sides, but obviously as the picture shows, it's do-able.

    As far as drive ability, the Rear Spring TSB is a handy upgrade. The Tailgate is gooder, not great on the 08+ Tacoma. I haven't bent my gate, but I did stretch and almost break the tailgate cable.

    As for D-rings, I mounted them in the Factory recommended location in the bed. The tie-downs seemed to hold fine, the problem was the angle was too shallow and the front tires never stay put. With them located down lower and more importantly perpendicular to the handlebars, puts more down force on the Front tire.
